How Saturview works
Saturview puts the evidence next to college football: scores, rankings, teams, players and games for everyone, and Newton, a forecasting model, for people who want to see what it thinks.
What you can read without paying
Scores, rankings, team pages, players and game pages are open to everyone, signed in or not. A free account adds Newton’s record and every pick it has settled. Premium is the part that looks ahead.

Where the numbers come from
Schedules, results, rosters, live scores and play-by-play come from outside sources. Saturview adds up its own team and player statistics from the box scores of finished games, then builds its ratings on top. The statistics are not official: a school, a conference or the NCAA may count a play differently.
The Methodology page lists every source, its license and credits.
How the rankings work
A team’s rank follows its rating: how many points it would be expected to beat an average FBS team by on a neutral field. The rating uses only this season’s games, adjusted for the opponents each team faced. Last season counts for nothing. Early on, roster talent is a starting point that fades as games are played, and rankings begin once at least half of FBS teams have played.
Each team also shows a range, its likely rank at the end of the regular season. Checked on past seasons, ranges built this way held the final rank about 8 times in 10. Early in the season the range is wide, and it narrows as games are played. The rankings are estimates, not guarantees. The FAQ covers the arrows, ties and the Resume rank.
Where Newton fits
Newton is the model that picks winners for the games ahead and keeps its record in the open. It is separate from the rankings. Meet Newton explains what it does and what it does not.
Saturview also shows the sportsbook consensus line next to Newton’s numbers. That is information, not betting advice, and Saturview does not take or place bets.
